sorry i cannot help as i have never made a cheesecake from scratch, unless you can count a Greens cheesecake mix:D

however, can i ask you for the recipie that you use for the uncooked cheesecake please, i bought some philidelphia last week and was going to experiment but not got round to it yet.
    tia

I make this philidelphia cheesecake, the easiest ever, and even my kids eat it and love it, and they are fussy.

I would leave it to set for a few hours though, never set enough in 1 hour.

I don't use just one recipe, and usually just google basics then add whatever chocolate/fruit/biscuits I have or fancy....I really like white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecake.....find a basic recipe, melt some white chocolate into the philidelphia mix and I use a pot of passionfruit curd (from farmers markets) tastes lush but I'm more of a guesser than a recipe follower......hence the mess that's currently in the oven

I have just had a quick google at cheesecake recipies, and they all seem to use "full fat soft cheese", can i ask why is this?
what would be the outcome if i used a low fat soft cheese instead ?
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Question for the bakers.....I often make unbanked cheesecakes....but I am today trying a baked one.
In my head it seemed a great idea, but now it's in the oven I'm not too convinced!!!
Question is....exactly how watery/fluid should the cheesecake part be? I'm a little concerned mine was too watery....mine resembled lightly whipped cream
    TIA

I think I know just the person to ask ... leave it with me:)

Sorry can't help you with an answer.....but I noticed the same....I always end up getting full fat as I know most recipes say it but never know why we can't use the light option...
  • Just been trouted!!! never been before, I found 1p pamper pots and 1p echo falls at Risca. All taken off me :(

Tbh the lady was very nice and really apologetic. Just disappointed. my own fault really I should have hidden them amongst a larger shop.

Found another 1p item as well. A small pale blue money box (like the pamper pot but smaller) saying special savings on it. Good for a new baby
