I was let down for a meal today, a relative of my husband who we have been trying to get to go out with us for months....She has several problems not all physical iukwim, and her daughter rang today to say they cant make it, she's sick.....
For a moment I felt like you and then thought, oh well I won't ask again.....but I will.
It would do her the world of good to get out but she can't do it at the moment :(

Good for you - nobody knows what battles a person is fighting. OH's confidence has really been knocked while he has been ill and the possibly disastrous consequences :(

even go get chips and sit some where nice on yr own is nice #
i got a ice lolly today and sat on bench by my self in the sun was bliss;)

Is this another elite trait, liking ones own company ??
I once went to a county park but was dogless.
I laid down in the long grass and felt the warm afternoon sun on my face, it was pure bliss.
All of a sudden a shadow came over me and a burly park warden was asking "are you alright madam?"
There were two other people also standing there and they went to get him coz some crazy middle aged woman was lying in the grass on her own, shame on her ? !!!

It is quite scary when you've been through something that traumatic and you have time to dwell on it afterwards. It will take time for him to get over it properly. Lots of TLC ;)
