Returning from USA to UK at end of contract. Currency exchange advice please.

As the title suggest, I am coming to the end of a 2 year contract in the US and want to get all my saved money back to the UK.
I have both US and UK bank accounts.
After looking through the forum I checked rates on fxcompared.com
The best rates are from The FX Firm, and Venstar Exchange. Has anyone used either one and would recommend or not?
Also, FX is UK based and Venstar is US based. Is it more logical to use a US based company for a transfer from the US??

Have you taken a look at https://www.currencyfair.com ? They offer very good rates for exchanging from 1 bank account to another.0

When I moved from UK to US I used each of these once -
http://www.internationalfx.com/uk/
http://www.torfx.com/
No issues with either.0
