    What a hellish situation for you all, especially having to tell your Dad every day. Probably time to start with the easier part-truth "she's away at the moment" so you aren't having to cope with his grief & shock over & over?

    I'm very sorry the POA is insufficiently specific - I'm sure your sister even in her worst moments wouldn't have meant this problem to land on you.
    It has though, and while I have nothing concrete to offer other than recommending white lies, I wish you the very best of luck with the legal challenges & hope all pans out.

    Meanwhile, please look after yourself - eat, drink, bath, sleep.

    And welcome back to MSE, even if under the least good circumstances.

    Eeeeek, I feel awful. As a poster said earlier, it makes me feel bad for moaning about trivial stuff now.

    I literally don't know what to say. I am so incredibly sorry. :(
    Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!

    Update from the OP.

    My sister's body was found in April in a local forest. She had taken her own life in January, on the day she went missing.

    I am currently trying to sort out the mess that is her estate...and help for her disabled husband.

    Thank you all so much for your kind comments, and specially to Somewhere |Up There and Clooties Mum, who obviously saw the local news and realised she had been found in Fife. Sorry I didn't/couldn't come back on to reply until now.
