Global Late Deals

Has anybody experience of this company - I can only find reports about them (most not good) from 2008 or 2009. Wondered if they improved - found a deal that's about £50 less than the cheapest I previosuly found and would book this over the phone rather than through website. If I book over phone, are they allowed to ring me at a later date to say price was not 'live', as I've read about some reviews when people book via their website

Global Late Deals are part of Global Rooms who are a pretty big company. They operate / work alongside Sunmaster, sunsave, TravelBag and Holiday Gems so might be work looking for these too.
Even if you book over the phone, they could call back and ask for more money as could most online travel agents to be honest. The main reason this tends to happen is because the flight price changes whilst you're booking the holiday and this can still happen on the phone I'm afraid.

Most of the online travel agents that are part of the global travel group consortium are basically franchises.

I know for a fact that sunmasters, sunsave and holiday gems advertise below net on the website to draw you in, even though you give your card details and think you have booked, the holiday is not available at the price you see, else they would make a loss, they are all competing with each other. They will call you back afterwards and say the flight has gone up.

Call to get the final price.

They also don't mention luggage on their websites, which can make some people assume it is included - it isn't.

thanks for that - I did call to get price for luggage so had added that; this is why I was going to call and book over phone and also as website didn't work properly for me (wasn't recognising certain things and wouldn't let me continue).

When I've booked online like this before, I guess I've been lucky in that nobody ever phoned me back to increase price!! Although I hadn't heard of Global the other names you mentioned are familiar. If I phone, I'll have to check price on phone rather than give a reference and make out it can't work as I can then see if person on phone gives me same rate and then maybe decide from there!!!
