Hi everybody
I live in Belfast and I was checking with my plumber that I don’t have any main stop valve.
I need a valve for the water supply fitted outside the property so I can close it with a water valve key during the upgrading.
Anybody knows the department and the phone number to call to have it fitted?
Best Regards

I find it hard to believe there is no external stopcock. It will be underground in the pavement, or end of your friont garden, or nearby.
However, if there really is not one, ring, email, or write to your water supplier.
Do you have an intrnal one? (or is it locked solid hence need to stop water externally?)0 -
thanks G_M
I was told from a plummer that in Belfast there is one stopcock each 3 properties and it is necessary to call the water dpt. to have it fitted for free
not sure which dpt exactly and the number to dial

Can you not have a rising main stopcock fitted inside the property?0
