Red funnel/wightlink discount codes

I am traveling to the isle of wight in august and am looking for a discount code for either red funnel or wightlink.
I have also heard about the tesco clubcard option ,can this be used for august travel ?

There is already a thread on here about Red Funnel discounts but no codes have been reported recently. However, if you Google Isle of Wight ferry discounts you'll find www.isleofwightguru.co.uk which gives plenty of information and suggests code NT14M which someone found on the back of a magazine so it's worth a try. If it works, perhaps you could post it on the main Red Funnel thread for others to use.


Update - just did a quick trial run out of interest and the code seems to work, 15% of ferry travel for 2 nights or more, book before 31 March, travel by 31 August. I'll update the Red Funnel thread now.

Does it have to be Wightlink? VCH14 gives 15% off Red Funnel for vehicle travel, 2 nights or more, book by 30 April, travel by 30 sept.

In order to get round the exhorbitant return fare prices, it occurred to me that it should be far cheaper to book 2 day returns, one for the arrival and one for the departure day, then just using the outward portion of each one. Is there any reason why this may not work?

I think you'll find that if you do not turn up for the return part of a day return ticket, then you will automatically be charged for a single ticket to the card used for the initial purchase.

You might like to check that before taking the risk.

Valid for vehicle ferry crossing, 2 nights or more, book by 31 Jan, for travel till 31 Aug 2015.
