Check out American Express, they have good options for corporate cards.0

Im traveling to Asia for 3 weeks for my honeymoon in January and would like to use the airport lounges and thought this would be a good way of saving a few quid.
There may be better options out there and it will depend if it really has to be a company card or if a personal card could also work for you?
American Express Platinum has a fairly high fee but it has a prorata refund if you dont keep it for the full year. With it you get the full Priority Pass which allows you and 1 guest in for free plus there are some additional better lounges that you can potentially get into.
Likewise depending on where you are staying and if you've booked yet or not etc then you can get other perks via FHR or automatic higher hotel membership status etc.
Alternatively there is the AmEx Gold that is free in year one and comes with 3 free entries, so get one each to get a few entries for nothing.0 -
Thanks for your replies.
It doesnt have to be a company card, I thought the DC Company card had no annual fee making it only £15 per person for each lounge. Im only after the perks and fortunately have my own company so able to take advantage of this.
I've heard of priorty pass but didnt realise they had an annual membership scheme. Il have to look into it in more detail.
I've already booked all our flights and just need to book two more hotels then we are complete. As its our honeymoon I just wanted to make it that little bit more special having access to the lounges.
Heres a flavour of the airports we will be 'visiting' as such if anyone has any experience or tips on the subject:
London Heathrow to Dubai 2hr 30min stop over
Dubai to Bangkok (BKK)
Bangkok (BKK) to Hong Kong (Business class so lounges included)
Hong Kong to Kuala Lumper (KLIA2)
Kuala Lumpur (KLIA2) to Phuket
Phuket to Bangkok (DMK)
Bangkok (BKK) to Dubai
Dubai to London Heathrow.0 -
A few banks (eg Barclays Premier and Natwest Black) give Airport Angel cards which is an alternative to Priority Pass. Would just need to check how long you have to stay with them to not be billed for them.
Which airlines you on? AmEx Plat gives CX gold status which would get you into any One World lounge if you are flying with any One World carrier irrespective of class.
Likewise are you staying with any chain hotels or just a mixture of local ones?0 -
We are flying with Emirates all the way through to Hong Kong then its AirAsia untill we flyback from Bangkok to Dubai and home which it Emirates again.
Hotel wise we are staying:
Banyan Tree - Bangkok
Hotel Icon - Hong Kong
Shangri-la Traders Hotel - Kuala Lumpur (Not booked yet)
Phuket not booked but would like a private infinity pool villa
Mövenpick Battuta Gate - Dubai.0 -

It hasnt been extended?
I know I got a 6 month extension last year saying they were withdrawing it but just yesterday another 6 month extension turned up taking up to May 2015. It came directly from CX with no messages from AmEx to explain why it had been extended yet again.0 -

New customers can't get CX status though. No one seems to have any idea whats going on with CX and Amex though.0 -

Indeed, though I wish they'd make a decision one way or the other - this'd justify the annual fee for me on its own if it were ongoing.
I'm AA Plat at the moment, so don't need it, but I've got maybe one or two years left of being able to confidently hit the threshold, so it'd be brilliant when I drop to occasional flying.0 -
Just as an update and for anyone one else searching in the future, I have just spoken to a very helpful lady at Diners Club Customer Services who confirmed there is no annual fee or minimum spend under the company card account.
If you are fortunate enough to be eligible for this type of card I cant see an other schemes that would gain you access to airport lounges with no membership fee or minimum spend at a discount price of £15 per person.
As you are probably aware you just pay the £15 per lounge visit, per person with a 2.75% exchange rate fee for foreign currency.
Thanks for your input guys, I think I've made my decision.0
