Ok ,
I've decided I'm probably going to make a complaint about an EA. Is it advisable to do this before exchange - or after? (If we ever get that far?)
TIA

Well in theory the complaint shouldn't prejudice them in their dealings with you. At the same time, if you have grounds to complain then it may be worth waiting until competition just incase they do something else that requires complaints. This may prevent you having to make a separate complaint at a later time.0

Have you been through the EA's complaints procedure in full, without satisfaction?
If not, the ombudsman won't be interested. See the TPO website for detail.0 -
Depends on the complaint.
And where your purchase has got to.
It seems unlikely but a p*ssed-off EA might just somehow put a spanner in the works of your purchase in retaliation....... is it worth the risk?0 -
I'd wait until the house was a done deal.0

Yes, I will do that first, really I was pondering whether I have a claim as a buyer and not a vendor.. because I dont 'pay the fees' but my EA says I do have a right, particularly with some of the practice which clearly breeches the rules0
