I thought it looked like it had been designed by a ten year old - all those primary colours.
Nice idea, but cats should be outside where nature has provided all the scratching posts and climbing frames they need.0 -

Erm. Yeh. Not gonna turn this into a thread about the pros and cons of indoor/outdoor but will point out out that in many states in the USA and in Australia cats are not allowed to be free roaming outside. They must be kept indoors only.I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.

'Many' states? Which ones?0 -
'Many' states? Which ones?
I don't live in the states, I am not a lawyer in the states but I do know that a relative who lives in the states must keep her cat indoors. And I'm not about to trawl through the internet for each individual state's feline law - I couldn't even name each of the states 52 (?) states......
There are also laws on how many cats a person may own in some states and also it is pretty common place to get a cat declawed in the states. Something that I don't think anyone here would even consider! A lot of their feline laws are based on bird wildlif though. That, I do know!
But that aside, I said I wasn't going to turn this into and indoor/outdoor cat thread and I stand by that. There are plenty of those types of threads already existing.I have a simple philosophy:

In the UK, it is illegal to declaw cats and debark dogs. In some of the US states, - Connecticutt for example - it is inadvisable to allow cats outside because of the fact that they could be killed by coyotes and raccoons - even on the outskirts of towns. It is not illegal to let them out, just inadvisable.0 -
Cant help but feel that some of the flower pots in the bedroom would get knocked off, Cats like knocking things off shelves and tipping things over....

So why mention it at all? If you don't want to make it that sort of thread you shouldn't have said anything at all. You can't float in, spout your opinion (sans facts) and then effectively gag anyone from disputing or discussing it by saying you wasn't going to turn this into and indoor/outdoor cat thread.0 -

*SIGH* you're determined aren't you......
I mentioned it because of your comment (quoted below). Just because I'm unwilling to turn a lighthearted thread into a debate on how cruel it is to keep cats indoors, doesn't mean you can't........
If you take a look around the board you'll notice plenty of those types of threads already exist
I'm sure you'll get the hang of it when you've been around for a bit longer
have a nice day
