How do I get Scottish Power to refund my money
Hi - no doubt this has been asked before, but I am fairly new to the forums and would welcome some advice.
I changed energy providers and Scottish Power have still not refunded the credit balance of my account. They keep promising to do so but then fail to refund it. Today I got an email which stated that due to a system update they are not able to process my request for the refund. Two weeks ago I was promised that the money would be in my account last week.
I feel that they are giving me the run around but I do not know how to get the matter resolved.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please
Thanks

Send an E-Mail or recorded delivery letter marked complaint. Once you've done that and they've acknowledged it, you'll get a complaint reference number and they will have 56 days to sort it out. If they haven't done so by then you can ask the ombudsman to intervene - so the sooner you initiate a complaint the better.
It took me 10 weeks and 5 snotty e-mails before I got my refund.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
