Bought 4 x £25 3V Visa Gift cards for a £100 purchase, can't combine funds

Hello there, I'm unsure if there is anything I can do about my situation. I went into Morrisons in the knowledge that there is an item I'm wanting to buy for slightly over £100 from Amazon, and that gift cards at Morrisons allow for 1p off a litre per £10 gift card spend.
As they don't sell Amazon gift vouchers, I purchased 4 x £25 3V Gift Cards. I bought these on the basis that I could activate them all and then have £100 to spend, unfortunately, each card gives a seperate card number so the max I can spend in any one transaction is £25.
The suckerpunch is that I can't return these for a refund. Now to me, the back of the card isn't very useful. Is there any recourse with these? I can transfer the balance from one to another for £3~ I believe but I'd rather not lose £9.
Personally I view a gift card like a gift balance, something that can be increased AND decreased. Do I have any leg to stand on if I pushed it all the way for a refund?

As the cards don't appear to be faulty, what reason would you be giving Morrisons for a refund?0

You can then shop online, over the phone or via mail order wherever Visa is accepted. Select Visa when you pay, enter the Visa number and security details. It's just like using a Visa card.
