I had to get some scaffolding done recently and that was definitely a cash transaction (wink wink), not sure my window cleaner would appreciate a cheque, and as for cheap fags ... :)

That's an expensive pint of milk.

If it's Organic and a brand name than what do you expect!

They double or even triple the price when they stick organic on the label!

If I go into a Supermarket and buy a pint of milk for 89p, it cost me 89p whether by cash or by card. The same can be said for umpteen situations. I have not used cash for over a decade, I'm better off, it's impossible for me to lose anything.

Why have you not thought of this?

Or are you just an anti corporate? (which I know is the case it's obvious from your op)

It may have been 86p/87p had the price of merchant fees not been added to the price of all products.

There's also the risk of a bank glitch , leaving you with no access to your money!

Also I think a mixture of cash and card is the best way

Why, I think Rabbit tastes better than chicken.

    I beg to differ:
ASDA Organic Fresh Milk Semi Skimmed 4pt
    2 FOR £3 or £1.84 each.

    That's 37p/pint if you buy 2, or 46p/pint for a single.

Do you really believe the supermarkets would pass on the savings to customers? Either way, I'd happily pay an extra penny or two to use my card, especially when I'm getting 3p/4p back in rewards/cashback for using that piece of plastic.

The risk of a bank glitch is solved by having two cards from different providers.

No cashback for Lidl/Aldi in England where credit cards aren't accepted :(

It might finance some loss leaders!

You get 4 pints of semi skimmed milk at Asda for £1, so while £1.84 isn't quite double it's not far off.

I can't say I've ever shopped at Lidl or Aldi.

Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons and Iceland on the other hand... and I've been paid 3%/4% just for doing so by using cards.

I didn't have any cash while on a plane crossing the pond once, but it wasn't a problem, as I just gave them that little piece of plastic. I even got cashback on that.

Cashless society > dealing with cash.
