To make sure we get our 5 a day I cut up fruit every night. Tonight we had between two of us, a banana, pear, some grapes and some frozen cherries.

Strangely enough, when the kids were young I made a pudding every night e.g. crumble, trifle, steamed pudding etc. and I was thinner then, than I am now.

In the week it's usually something like a yoghurt but on a Sunday we will have something hot with custard or a cheesecake.

We don't always have pudding. Sometimes we may have an individual cheesecake or a funsize chocolate bar or a choc ice. Sometimes just a couple of plain biscuits with a cup of tea. I try to stick to one sweet item per day, so if I have had something at work then I won't have pudding.

We gave up puddings on weekdays once the children went to uni too.

We still have puddings at weekends and if we have visitors.

Same here in that I cooked puddings when DDs were at home.

What we have now is a one course 'supper' most of the time. We have large portions with heaps of veg and that's enough for us.

When we have 'dinner' it's either out or a special occasion at home or visitors coming round. Then I would do a pudding and probably a starter too. To be honest I enjoy starters more than puddings and often opt for a cheeseboard.

I rarely bake as I don't want the calories.;)

When I was growing up, we always had puddings after dinner. But now that I'm an adult, we rarely have puddings and when we do, we rarely eat it straight after the main course as we're full up and have to wait for that to go down before there's room for pud.

If we go out for a meal, I might not eat all the main, just so that I have room for desert!

We don't generally have puddings but there is always fruit and yoghurt available if either of us want something.

We often have an ice lolly during the evening if we want something sweet.

  • Kids at home - pudding every evening! All sorts - crumbles, sponge cake with custard, jelly and ice cream, rice pudding, tinned fruit, fresh fruit, yoghurt.

They have packed lunches at school so I like to give them a big dinner - I don't know where they put it all as there's nothing of them!

When I was living on my own, never - except for some fruit. Now Lynne is with me, we make desserts, but not every day.

We don't really have puddings during the week unless it is an 'occasion' or something we have got in just for that day, in the summer we may have fruit/fruit salad but it's never really as a pudding more as a later snack.

I always intend to make one for Sunday lunch but often we don't feel like it so I don't unless we specially decide we will definitely eat it!
