Can't send/receive calls/texts . Invalid MMI Code ??

Hi there ,
My Talk Talk mobile phone suddenly stopped working on Saturday, stating an INVALID MMI code . Since then I have been able to send /receive the odd text, likewise with calls, but at the moment I can only use my Internet connection, even though the phones showing a full signal .
Customer support have ran all the necessary checks , but can't identify the problem and have told me I need to wait TWO WORKING DAYS for a call back . My OH says its more than likely to be a corrupt SIM card & I agree . Talk talk want to run more tests before they send a new one out .
Has anyone else had the same problem? & how was it rectified?

I'm going with corrupt sim in support of your OH..Not surprised at TalkTalk, they are pretty useless at most things....Try another sim in the phone as a double check...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you
