npower boiler breakdown cover

I am with NPower for both Gas and Electricity and also have their breakdown cover for my boiler
On Thursday our electricity was blowing the electricity so make a call to NPower who arranged for sub contractor to come and visit on Friday.
On Friday they came and said that the boiler would need parts which resulted in my family (3 children) having no hot water or central heating until at least the Monday.
I really kicked up as was being left over weekend and was delivered a couple of electric heaters.
Today I phoned NPower and the sub contractor and told that parts not available yet and will get a call once these come into stock.
I feel angry as cant see anywhere in terms + conditions about being left with no hot water or central heating whilst awaiting parts.
I would have thought that NPower would at the least reimburse costs for running electric heaters.
Its been such an inconvenience as cannot get a heat or bath my children.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think your expectations are mighty high, npower didn't break your boiler down and if they need to order parts to repair it they are bound by their supplier who won't be working the weekend. What do you think they should have done?

npower used subcontractor and wasnt npower that stated i needed parts - it was subcontractor.
I still as of today have no hot water or ch and I am sure parts could be ordered quicker than this.
Very frustrating when got 3 kids and cant bath or heat them

This has been the warmest weekend of the year so far, so are a couple of electric heaters really not adequate for a few days?
It's not a guaranteed next day service, not do they guarantee that the boiler can be fixed on the first visit.

You'd need a very large saucepan to wash 3 kids in...
