Powerpoint help

Hi all

I have a powerpoint presentation which includes an embedded video file (from vimeo). It works fine if all the security measures are taken off.

I want to use this at different institutions where such security may not be so easily disabled. One thought was to host it and present it live from SkyDrive but it crashes firefox.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried downloading the file from Vimeo? If you can, then if you save it as - or convert it to - an MP4 file, then you might be able to embed it into PowerPoint so it should play with few problems (Though as you described it, you may have done exactly this already).
Alternatively you could just save it on your laptop without embedding it, but insert a hyperlink in your presentation to take you to the file.
Getting videos to play in a smooth transition can be a pain in PowerPoint. A simpler solution might just be to have the video open in media player or VLC on your task bar, and during the presentation press the Windows key to reveal the task bar and play it from there. This way you don't have to exit your presentation.
