Cost & other Concerns of adding an Exterior Door to Garage

Morning All.

Has anyone got a typical idea of costs (Hampshire, UK) of adding an exterior door ( probably second hand 5 point locking upvc with new lock) into a single story garage, with flat roof, and single layer brickwork?

I'm guessing the work is as follows:
Cut the hole
Support the Brickwork/roof
Add Lintel
Fit & seal Door Frame
Fit Door.

Is there anything that I would need to be specifically aware of re building regs/insurance for doing this?

There is already access to the garage via an existing door from garage into a conservatory, which then has an exterior, lockable door into the house.

Looking at a new house which we would want to do this to.

Ta!

Where is the door going to? Inside the house?

Building control requires a 10cm rise from garage to house and the installation of a 30 minute self-closing fire door with intumescent seals etc.

I quoted similar to a potential customer, but the door looks like an internal one inside their house, at just over £1000.

No building regulations apply to detached garages so you can put whatever door you like in it. Cost would be less for labour but the price is dependent on your door.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Sorry, i completely missed your response as i wasn't subscribed to the thread, sorry!

it's from an attached garage to the back garden, so it's from un-inhabiitable to un-inhabitable, so my understanding is we don't need the 10cm rise of the fire proof door.
