What Trade would this job be?

Hi Everyone,

I need to have some coving put up in my living room, hallway and bedroom. Can a painter and decorator do this? Sorry for the stupid question just not sure what trade would do this job.

Yes or a plasterer.....or a plasterer/decorator.

Neither trade will neccessarily definitely do it, but obviously you can just ask.

Yes a painter should be able to do that. Probably just your casual gumtree painter should be able to do it.

Make sure they have good mitre to make the corner cuts.

The chap I have used for years has the heading Specialist Plaster Work on his business card and advert, followed by the subheading Coving, Artexing, Combed ceilings, Plaster Roses and Niches etc.
