Balance Transfer Help!

First post so please be gentle with me. Took out a balance transfer with Asda a few months ago. Last months statement came in and I checked it over to see if it gave any indication that the 0% was due to come to an end. Checked minimum payment and estimate interest which stated 0%. Checked the back of the statement and it said bt 0%. So thought it must be next month I am due to pay it off. So today I receive statement and there is interest charge. So goes on to the phone to them and they say that interest is from 5th June which is when the 0% ends. I state that it was never mentioned on last months statement and that it even said estimated interest next month 0%. But they come back and say that I should have know when the date was and it was my own fault and they couldn't do anything. Is there anyway out of this. Its not much interest but it is the principle of the thing. I always pay off as soon as. I hate paying interest. Any help most gratefull.

No you have fallen into the trap of not knowing the difference between statement date and end of balance transfer rate date.

One of the basic rules of stoozing is to make sure when the 0% period ends, in advance. You'll know better next time.
