Removals - van size for King Size Bed

Hi all,
As title- will a short wheel base van take a king size mattress, or should i be going for a long wheel base?

    Measure bed and tell van hire company. They are used to these sort of enquiries, and will know internal measurements of their vans.
  • Van hire websites usually have the dimensions of the cargo area written there. If not they may have the make and model, which you can Google.

    Here are the dimensions for a king size:
    60 in × 78 in (152 cm × 198 cm)

    Beware of any tapering, or boxed in sections (over the wheels) in the van, the dimensions given will be for the maximum length, not minimum, which is what you really need to compare against.

    A king size mattress will definately go in a normal transit at an angle eg if there is little else in the van
