Chipped windscreen

Morning all,
Just a little advice please.
Yesterday a large stone hit my windscreen and has caused 3 chips within about 1.5 inch of each other. I rang my insurance (Hastings Direct) and glass cover isn't included! I have then rang around and National Windscreens think they can't repair the cracks and the entire windscreen needs replaced...
What are your thoughts?
My windscreen is heated (Ford Focus) and will cost a fair bit I'm imaging, should I just hold out and see if it cracks if I'm going to have to get it replaced anyway?

Thank you for posting about your experience. If you would like to contact us directly we will see what we can do to help. Our policies do generally cover windscreens however this may sometimes be subject to accidental damage excess rather than a specified windscreen excess.
