With all the benefit changes is this likely to stay the same?
And is someone with ASD likely to be entitled to it?

I can answer the second question fairly rapidly: it depends ...
DS1 is on the spectrum, but generally you'd never know. I can't imagine he'd ever get any benefits help, but when he was a student he was awarded a Disabled Student Grant, with help from the disability support team at his uni.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
