Conflicting advice and quote from roofers

I have been having problems with damp in the bedroom. I had it repaired last year and am having same problem again and the damp seems to be spreading and the wet weather did not help. I have had four roofers to inspect and on each occasion I have been given different opinion what's causing the damp, one said the lead needs replacing etc, they do not seem to know what's the problem. I do not know what to do. Any help, pl? Thanks

are you sure it's coming from the roof and not condensation0

What does the damp look like? A pic would help.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Far, far too many people blame exterior leaks on damp patches in buildings. Like said a high percentage is down to condensation. Ironing in a room without windows open, clothes drying on a radiator - ever thought where the water goes?
But there again a roofer won't get paid anything to tell you to leave a window open.
Good luck.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Wait until it's raining heavily and then go up into the roof void. Also go outside and check the guttering, flashings etc. You might be able to spot what the problem is more easily in a heavy downpour.
It may not be the roof - it might be something as simple as blocked or cracked guttering or a leaky downpipe. Have you checked around the window.0
