Hi All,
My childcare for 14/15 averages out at £390 per week. Can I legally claim tax credits towards the £300 and then get childcare vouchers towards the rest?

It's for three children
Thank you xx I will start claiming. Does this mean that I can reduce the amount of earnings that I tell tax credits that I have by £243 per month? 0 -
Yes. Your taxable/P60 income should reduce by that amount. Note that you have to deduct the value of the vouchers from the amount you claim with tax credits, though in your case it looks like you'll still have over £300pw left after using the vouchers so you'll be able to claim the full £300.littlemiss.k wrote: »It's for three children

Do you need to be earning above £300 for them to pay up to that amount, or will they pay that regardless? Not that I have 3 children, I'm just curious0

I am a 24yr old single parent to two children (2 and 4). I have just found out I am pregnant again after getting carried away with my children's father when I went round to his one day to discuss formalising custody arrangements. He is very much part of my kids lifes and is a great support to me. I think I could cope with looking after 3 children but don't know if I could afford it
I work full time earning £28,090 per annum (set to rise to £29,600 in April 2013) My childcare bill are present is £235 per week and this is with Dad doing 1 day and my daughter going to after school club. I estimated the childcare to be £425 per week when little one is here.
A few questions,
1.) is the maximum childcare (CTC) I can claim £300 for 3 children?
2.) do you think it is possible to work full time with three children under 5?

Dad is very stable at present and looks after the kids no problem. As this baby isn't due until June I would wait to see if he things continue as good as they have been for the last few months to make sure he could cope with the two youngest kids.
He is on incapacity benefit and doesn't support the kids financially. I don't expect anything from him as I know I get support in other ways. Do you think it's possible to work full time with three kids 5 or under? xxx

You seem to have the secret to eternal youth!

Have you nothing better to do than go trawling through people's posting history in an attempt to discredit them? I wonder who else used to do this “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Getting your age wrong once is odd enough, getting your age wrong twice is more than a typo. Making up stories (how is the boyfriend with cancer?) would suggest it is you that is the weirdo

I am 25yrs old (almost 26!)New to the forum. I am 24yrs old and have worked in an organisation since I left school.Being only 24 and with the age range in my team being from 26 - 59..Getting your age wrong once is odd enough, getting your age wrong twice is more than a typo.
See above from yesterday - perhaps it's as dear old Oscar said “One should never trust a woman who tells one her real age. A woman who would tell one that would tell one anything.”:D0
