How can you find out a Merchant's category code in order to get cashback for credit cards such as Santander 123 or the 4% LUMA CC?

Why do you need the category code ? I don't have a Santander or Luma card, do they provide a list ?0

Don't know whether you'll find anything on Google but all card issuers have access to them. Can't think why they'd give you a list of category codes when most people don't have access to them ? Seems a bit daft.0

Luma stopped taking applications for the 4% card last year, and the promise to bring it back in the new year is still up. I don't think it's coming back.
I imagine it will go the same way as the Aqua Reward and have the cashback reduced to 0.5% in a year or two. Aqua lasted 20 months.
On my Capital One online account (for the Luma card), it shows the MCC for each pending transaction, but this information isn't available once the transaction progresses to my statement.0 -

You can get the MCC number for statemented transactions by downloading the transaction list as a "Comma Delimited" file. The last field of the CSV file is the MCC number.0 -

Does this apply to other credit card issuer's online statements?0 -

That wouldn't work for Luma's 4% cashback or any future MCC specific cashback offers though?
Still that doesn't give me the MCC of each reatiler0
