Getting Revoked Licence Back

My son suffers from epilepsy but way back in February his doctor told him he could re-apply for his provisional licence as he had not had a fit in 12 months. It is now 5 months down the line and after several phone calls to DVLA and the hospital concerned he has today received the same initial forms asking for permission for them to contact the hospital that he received in February.
Can anyone else tell us of their experiences in this area because surely this is absolutely disgusting. When he rang DVLA about a month ago they blamed the hospital and the hospital blamed DVLA. He was lead to believe then that it would not be much longer. He is so stressed out over this.

I had a similar problem with mine - the DVLA failed to send the forms out when they should have had, however once they did all I had to do was fill in a form and declaration and return it - my license was back within days.
On a side not it does look like you can now email the forms to them this may speed up the process even more however I have not tried this yet.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
A friend of mine had similar problem - her husband had to wait and there was the DVLA saying it was waiting for hospital and hospital saying not had forms from DVLA.

The DVLA are twits. I filled in a DR1 sent it back and they sent me a letter saying I had to fill a form in. I emailed then and they said that they didn't know what I was on about.0
