Well here goes
I now have 2 routers
Router 1
Connected by cable ,all lights ,power, wireless, internet and the number 1 are all lit however it still says littlt or no connectivity
Any ideas?
Router 2
Connected by cable all lights are green for go but my connection only lasts for 2 minutes and then the power light goes off as do the wireless and internet lights. The number1 light stays illuminated
Any ideas
Btw I have disabled uPNP on both routers.
Hope someone can help as this is doing my head in.
Thanks in advance

router1, so are you using wired or wireless?
if wired, try start, run, cmd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /all >c:\1.txt
notepad c:\1.txt
post it here
if wireless, your encryption key probably doesn't match
router pwd is sky

What are your basic router statistics?
At the bottom of the router status page click on 'show statistics'
You should see something like.....
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8190 kbps 394 kbps
Line Attenuation 45.5 db 27.1 db
Noise Margin 11.0 db 24.0 dbThat gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
also if u look around the internet u can find software that will extract ur username and password details that are used to log u into sky's broadband network.
once u have this informatoin u can use any router u want.
i didnt like the router they gave me, the dg834gt...i found the wireless connectivity was just poor, my laptop had problems connecting from the lounge (the router is in the loft). the old router (dg834G) didnt have this problem, and once i found out i could go back to my old router, i was chuffed...
its weird tho, cos the GT is meant to be better than the G, but oh well.0 -
Yes indeed, one way is to use Mossywells bounce Sky Router details here:
