Wickes /G24 CPC parking notice

I've just recived a CPC from G24 for parking at Wickes Dartford for a totall time of 100 minutes and was totally unaware that the limit was only 90 minutes.
I've read through various forums and I'm not sure if I should ignore or start an appeal process?.
1) I will visit the store and see if the store manager can help waive the charge as I can produce the receipts for the items I bought.
2) I will write a letter to G24 along the lines of:-
Dear Sir/Madam,
Ref: PCN XXXXXXXXX
I am writing as the registered keeper of vehicle XXX1234 to appeal the above ticket. The driver was a genuine customer of the store that day, and the sum you are seeking in relation to an overstay, in a free car park, bears absolutely no relation to any genuine pre-estimate of loss incurred by either you or the landowner.
Please cancel the ticket immediately. If you choose to reject this appeal then please send me a POPLA code so that I may take this up with the independent appeals service.
Yours,
I'll make sure its sent recorded delivery3)Also write to Wickes Customer Service
Is there anything else I need to do?
thanks

I suggest you read the sticky thread by coupon mad, in her first post you will see the initial appeal to send. But you only send it once you have the notice to keeper, unless you are not the registered keeper???
You never send anything recorded, you get a free proof of postage from the post office, it's presumed delivered after 2 working days.
Any other questions come back to this threadWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The advice is never to ignore, but there are times to do nothing!
If you have a company car then it can be sensible to admit to being the driver in the appeal to snag the correspondence away from the company. You'll still win at appeal if it's done properly.0 -
Don't send it recorded delivery and please send the strong first appeal I wrote in the thread that was calling to you from the top of this forum all the time: 'Private Parking ticket? NEWBIES please read these FAQs first'. Then on the same sticky thread, read post #3 and the examples under the hyperlink 'How to win at POPLA'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
