My chimney stack is starting to bulge out at the side and the chimney pot is starting to lean a little bit. It all gets worse every time its really windy, with rubble falling down the chimney etc.
Would the building insurance pay out to fix this or will they just turn round and say it's maintenance?

Maintenance. If you don't take remedial action to keep it in good repair your insurance may well be invalidated in the event of a claim.0

Definitely maintenance. One of the costs of owning a house I'm afraid.0

I've got someone coming next week to quote for repairs.0

If it comes down, you could be held negligent and forced to pay for any consequential damage - eg. cars parked below.0

I don't want it falling down. My bed is underneath it and wouldn't like it coming through the roof.0
