Canceled disneyland Paris trip Help Please

hello

myself, my wife and our 3 year old son have just had to cancel our eurodisney trip the day it was meant to start.
we booked it about 9 months ago (paid by credit card) and the night before departure we all got really ill with the Norovirus.
so a week later i am now trying to pick up the pieces. I spoke the Disney on Monday (the day we were due to travel) but they view it as a cancelation, no exchanges or refunds. I just want to move it to a date when we can go and aren't vomiting.
Stupidly we didn't have travel insurance, and we don't think we have it with any of our accounts or cards
Do we have any options?
My son is devastated, but we cant afford to rebook (any time this year seems to be about £900) hence why we booked so far in advance.

Anyone have any advice?
Should i ring Disney again? Or write them a letter?

Thanks for any help
PS lesson learned re travel insurance

Son is 'devastated'? At 3 years old?

You have no recourse at all I;m afraid.

Your right, it was stupid not to have travel insurance, it should always be taken out almost at the same time
    as booking your holiday.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

unfortunately the t&cs with Disneyland Paris are clear cut - cancel on the day of check-in and you lose all your money, no refund at all.

We're taking our 3 year old in a few weeks. Haven't long told her and she'd absolutely be (her version of) devastated if we couldn't go.
