Possibly - some are playing fast and loose with the rules concerning issuing POPLA codes with rejection letters.
If they don't issue you with one, time to complain to BPA and DVLA - more on that if or when. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I've had an email from FarmFoods today. They will look into it so maybe I won't need to send the letter after all.
I have realised that this system is losing companies business so why are they doing it?
Allowing a short period of time of free parking means people can park and do what they want but by restricting it to a very short time very few people will go into the actual shop unless that is what they specifically want to do. A pay and display with a ticket that can be refunded in store would surely be a much better option.0 -

Send the letter anyway as Farm Foods may not do anything or discover that it is expensive to do so. You're already written it. You are then covered. In my case he company did nothing for a month even though I was hitting them hard.0 -
Cheers

I sent the letter off today. However have had an email tonight from Farmfoods to say the 'fine' has been cancelled. They have also offered us vouchers as a goodwill gesture.
Just need to wait for PE to write and confirm this now.0 -
Oh that's good , this must go in the successful complaints thread , how much in vouchers they giving you ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

They didn't say. But it's a good response.0

OP - don't take your eye off the ball as sometimes the PPC doesn't get the message from the retailer (or deliberately ignores them) and continues to pursue the motorist. If you get anything further from the PPC (other than confirmation of cancellation) do not ignore it, it will need some action taken with it.
All that said, well done on your successful approach to Farm Foods. Enjoy your free meal.

Funnily enough. Today I received a reminder regarding the notice. Giving me the option to pay a reduced amount by today, lol. However, I also had a letter from them telling me it has been cancelled, which had actually been written two days later. But since it seems any notices they send take bizarrely twice as long as any other post to arrive (Any one would think they sat in an out tray for a couple of days!) I'll assume it was just a cross over of communication.
If I get any further post do I ignore it and then at a later date produce the cancellation letter or do I remind them that they have cancelled?0 -
Congratulations and well done.
PE do seem a bit lax at catching up on exactly where a PCN is up to.
I got a cancellation from them then 5 days later another letter rejecting my appeal and giving me a POPLA code.
If anything further comes through I wouldn't bother replying (unless it's court papers or another PCN of course)
Why waste anymore of your time on them0
