Anglian Windows misold PPI

I had my windows and doors replaced in 2008.
I obtained quite a few quotes from local companies, big and small, as well as 2 quotes from 2 Anglian branches.
I had the cash to pay for the work, well overdue as the old windows were 35 years old and causing problems.
A salesman arrived. Stayed for nearly 5 hours, was very pushy and said he would better any quote. His figures did not work out cheaper, and 2 quotes I received were far lower than the cash price I was offered by Anglian. However, I was informed that there was a special deal for that day only, and if I took out this deal would be cheaper. It was, but not by a huge amount, but I was weary, desparate for new windows, and felt comfortable with Anglian as a company. A household name. So, the Gold Card membership was mine including PPI!
I've complained, but have been told that I ACTUALLY saved money by taking out the Gold Card deal and had no claim! The arrogance! I would
not have bought the windows at the cash price they offered in any case.
Anglian have said the salesman would not remember the meeting and the sales pitch. I certainly do, and so does my neighbour, who actually came in to remove him!!
The fact is the difference in the 2 cash and credit quotes was nearly £4,000!!! The gold card option gave me the whopping discount, and Anglian have admitted a percentage of the commission from the finance company was passed on to allow such discounts.
The chaps who fitted the windows were great, and I'm happy. Maybe, I haven't a valid claim for PPI mis-selling, but surely companies should just be a little more honest with customers.
