Start date for recaim bank charges

Please could you tell me when reclaiming from banks, where does the 6 year rule of claiming bank charges start from? ie Jan 2001 to Dec 2006, or from the month you are claiming from - from July 2007 back to June 2001.
Many thanks

You can claim back 6 years from today. However, today moves. For the Subject Access Request, it is from the date of your request. For the bank claim and the Financial Ombudsman, it is from the date of your first claim letter. For the court claim, the Statute of Limitations Act 1980 states that it is from the date you issue your claim.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
