Not sure walking across fake grass every day is necessarily a solution...

Why not look at block paving the front then adding some pots etc for planting?

I'm not opposed to fake grass, and OH is always moaning about the state of ours (have to say it doesn't bother me as long as it's kept mown, but he is looking for the mythical moss and weed free patch) but I can't get my head around how you keep it clean ?

This thread a few weeks ago was enough to put me off, not that I would have considered it in the first place, because having a dog I can't see how it would not smell eventually. And unless you can stop the local cats, dogs and foxes peeing in your front garden, I can see yours might go the same way.

I Have Spoken, your gravel looks lovely.

  • We had it at our last house, and about to get it at our new house,

had no problems with cats, foxes, smells etc.

when dog does a pee/other, we wash it down straight away, but we do that with the grass we have now anyway, well not wash it but pick up the poop soon after.

    Go for it

Ours looked great and so it will again when we get round to doing it,

Each to there own i suppose

One of my neighbours stones and rocks designed like a garden with shrubs coming through. He even has some black stones all together looking like a pool.
Never seen him working on it, after it was done, and it looks better now after a few years than it did when it was first done.
The only problem is he lives too close for me to do the same.
The only thing that is constant is change.
