Some of you may or may not remember my marriage dilemma years ago (when I married a guy who had cheated on me) then probably numerous comments on my struggle to get out and be free.
This week my divorce came through after what feels like 10 years worth of a big mistake. I'm over the moon! I feel like I've just got my identity back
It's all done and dusted, assets split, no need to ever speak to him forever more and no control from him ever again.
A big thank you to all the MSE forumites who kept me going on here all those years ago. :T:T:T

Well done, congratulations - and best wishes for your new improved life - enjoy it!
I'm going to copy quote this on the thread of someone who is full of doubt, fear for the future, and self-loathing which has been instilled in her by her waste of space of a husband - to show that you can come through the nightmare storm and see the rainbow at the end of it!

Oh please do! I just read through one of the initial threads on this sorry saga, I don't recognise myself from what I wrote then to who I am now!

Thanks all. I've been in and out all day but reading lostsoul's post with interest and will post back on that one later when I have time to consider a response.
I think that just like Tayforth and other's I've seen on here, the support of this site should never be underestimated. I appreciate that this site can get a little but bonkers when half term is on, but it is a truly valuable source of opinion when all you want to do is talk to a total stranger!
I genuinely thought at some stages that there were certain things that I just couldn't tell to friends and family. Ultimately this site and the lovely people who took the time to give me their opinion helped me to crystallise my thoughts on the subject. I'll do my best to pay that favour forward to anyone I can!0 -
Oh my goodness, I'm over the moon for you! Well done. And you are so right, MSE has done so much good for so many of us. And I like the pay it forward idea. I hope that I can do the same.
Congratulations and here's to your future, sportbeth
