Land Registry question

To cut a long story short, I'd like to know if I can access information from the Land Registry about a right of way:
I live in an end terrace, up the side of us is an access road to three properties (the council do not as far as I am aware maintain this road) on the other side of the access road is another row of terraces.
I want to know who is actually responsible and liable for this road and what rights we have to it.
So is there a way of applying to the LR to find this out?
Thanks

Yes - go to the land registry website and pay (I believe £3 per property) to be given a copy of the details registered. This should include a plan of the boundaries of the properties and will (usually) mark their rights of way.
You may need to get the details of all 6 properties, but it will give you an indication who else has the right to use the access road and who you can ask to help with its maintenance.I'm not a lawyer, so this is just my opinion. Don't go acting on legal advice you get from a stranger on the internet!0 -

The Title documents for each property (£3) might only refer briefly to the ROW and may not give full details of maintenance responsibilities etc. These are likely to be specified in a seperate document.
The LR might or might not have that document on file. If they do, I believe it is £6 to get a copy.0 -
As G_M says, if your house is registered, your title register might give details of any ROW either in the register or by referring to it in a document which itself is referred t oas ‘copy filed’ which means we will have a copy.
The quickest way to get a copy of the title register is to use our online service ‘Find a Property’ which as gordenbennet and G_M says costs £3.If you also want a copy of the title plan this costs another £3, but they very rarely show details of any ROW.
If the register does contain reference to any deeds that mention ROW and are ‘copyfiled’ you will have to apply to us by post for a copy. Instructions on how to do this are on our website, see “How can I get copiesof deeds and documents held by Land Registry?”
At the moment it will cost £11 for all documents referred to as ‘copy filed’ but from Monday 17 March it will cost £7 for each document referred to as ‘copy filed’. As most orders are for only one document most customers will benefit from the change.“Official Company Representative
