Hester :T I had the same with Aviva this morning they had put my house insurance up to £275  and after the threat of going elsewhere I got £105 off :j

DH has finished the shelves but has decided to decorate the kitchen so I have left him to it.
I ended up with a hypo this afternoon because I skipped lunch :o. I have just eaten a sandwich and have at least stopped shaking, but I still feel like carp :( DH has gone off his head at me, but it wasn't possible to get into the kitchen at lunch time to fix something.

Butterfly Brain - Hope you feel better soon. My thoughts too are with the families of the plane crash - need to hear from DS2 as he is travelling out there somewhere, hope he contacts us soon.

Busy day here - Ikea this morning followed by B&Q for paint for DS2s bedroom and then homebase for more paint, this time for DDs dressing table we got from freegle yesterday. Just back from the tip and got 2 little bistro type tables that would look nice in DDs room as bedside tables, they are from Ikea and brand new - must be my lucky weekend!

Neighbour helped me move the sofa bed downstairs to the conservatory and have put some furniture on gumtree as we still have far too much. Hoping they sell soon to free up some space.

Hope that black dog has gone on a long walk for those struggling. Take care. XX
Going to a charity Bingo evening if I can get there through the wind! At least it has stopped raining for a while.

Butterfly brain sounds horrible, hope you feeling better

Had a lovely afternoon pottering round and using up leftovers . Made some dauphinoise potatoes to go with some pork for dinner. I cut too many onions so I fried them off and we can have them with sausages tomorrow .

Managed to get 2 loads of washing dry outside , I've popped them on the airer for a bit and don't think I will need to iron much of it :j

I've hoed the flower beds and picked out some weeds , can't wait to get in properly but it's just too wet to walk on the grass, although I did pick some grass for the piggies to eat. They squeaked the whole time I was out there, they think if anyone is in the garden it must be because they are picking grass for them :rotfl:

redruby hope dd is ok now xx

    Nearly evening all,

I aim to write on here in the mornings but just seem to run out of time.

DH and DS2 have just come in. DH has been to football and DS2 meets him at the ground for a lift home from work. Fish and Chips for dinner tonight courtesy of the take away :)

DH was disposing of an old washing machine for someone but before he scraps it he has put it in the garden and washed his dust sheets, so I have been unable to do all the laundry I intended to do. Still it is supposed to be nice tomorrow so I will hopefully catch up on it then.

DD has been mailing me pictures of the sort of wedding bouquet she might go for. I am amazed at the variety using other bits and pieces rather than just flowers. She has suggested we make it ourselves. Sounds like fun :)

    Have a lovely evening.

    Evening to all :hello:

Weather started off terrible here today - foggy, damp, windy and cold. Given the weather forecast I was expecting blue skies and being able to put my washing out on the line, had to make do hanging it up inside.
Luckily it did brighten up this afternoon and I managed to clean my car inside and out, did my boyfriends yesterday - he was very happy :T

Today I have done my 3 hours of usual Saturday paperwork, nipped to the local town to get some bits and bobs - 99p store visit :money:

Have then whipped around the house at the speed of light, cleaned the car and now just managed to grab 30minutes to have a cuppa and a nose on here :D whilst I wait for my BF to finish work.

Can't quite believe it is already 6pm, the day has gone so fast.

Have a lovely evening whatever you are doing, not sure if we are venturing out or note yet.

    Happy Saturday :J
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    Evening all,

I'm shattered. Was out grocery shopping at 9am this morning because I had my Grandson at 10am and his Mum has just picked him up. He must have slept all of 10 minutes in all that time. He grizzled a bit, fell asleep and then woke up again shortly after. We took him to the shopping centre, for a walk round the park and then to the garden centre. I don't know if he appreciated it but I certainly did. I haven't seen him for a week and he's changed so much in that week. He is now sitting up unaided and is picking things up. My daughter sent me this yesterday and it makes me laugh each time I look at it.

I've had problems with my phone, had to restore it to factory settings but its working perfectly now (minus a few updates which I think was causing the problems in the first place.

Had a takeaway last night for tea and one for tonight. Not my suggestion but a good one. I'm too shattered to fiddle around with a cooked meal so I wont complain and its so nice not to be the one doing the cooking.

    Have a good evening all,

    Evening all,
Life is a mess at Mean Mansions....electricity is having a hizzy fit and we currently have 2 plugs working in the kitchen, heating noot working, nor are sockets in 3 upstairs bedrooms, house is very old and has had numerous additions to power over the years.....my reliable electrician is not around until Tuesday, he recommended someone who hasnt rung me back, so will probably have to wait until Tuesday....glad that this is not the weekend all offspring are here, neither is it too cold.

Having my back xray on Friday, not really getting around very comfortably, although am now sleeping most of the night , so thats a plus.

Hugs to all who have real problems, stay safe and well

    Marie
