iLivid

I've just switched my p.c. on again and found a new icon on the screen that I haven't added. It's iLivid.

I'm annoyed at having something there I haven't put there and think it must have got there accidentally from my attempts earlier to watch an American tv programme online.

1. Is it likely to be a problem to me?

2. How do I get rid of it?

My mate had something similar and the uninstaller would not remove it. We had to do cntrl/alt/delete and go to processes. Once it was removed from there I was able to use the uninstaller

iLivid is usually a download from sites where your trying to watch things without paying. If it is tv shows and films you are after try using megashare it wont get you to download anything and everything streams very well just remember to have adblock installed.

It usually pops up via some download sites .
Like the ones where you download /watch what could be termed illegal TV .
  • Thank you everyone.

I don't understand much about computers, so found I could shift the icon that turned up for this thing into the "junk dustbin" and the icon is no longer there.

    1. Does this mean that ILivid has been removed from my computer now by doing that?

    2. If it doesn't, then would ILivid cause me any problems ever? (NB: I had Bullguard Internet Security, but that "free trial" has come to an end and I have now installed Avast).

    1. No, you need to fully uninstall it using the advice above or http://forums.anvisoft.com/viewtopic-57-4661-0.html.
    2. Ilivid is malware so best not to have on your pc
