2 weeks with little happening

Currently in house buying. Two weeks ago got last search back from local authority and all fine. But nothing's happened since then as my Solicitor is still waiting for one of the enquiries which is for a service certificate for the heating system to be sent to them.

Seller has had three weeks to sort this out now. I'm sure there are lots of things that could slow this down. The other documents requested were sorted very quickly, within a week, as far as I'm aware anyway. My solicitor did say all outstanding documents had been received before, then a week later saying actually one hasn't, while I was assuming we were just waiting for local search to come back. Next week will be fourth week since this service and resulting documents were requested.

Should I be worrying about this or is it par for the course? Solicitor assures me they have been chasing up seller's solicitor for it.

Just want to know things are moving on and it's a pain having this long gap with nothing happening. Especially when it's out of my hands. Things moved very quickly when I was the one sorting stuff and wish I still was!

I'll contact my solicitor again on Monday, been leaving it a week each time so I'm not pestering them. Just would like more of an idea of why it hasn't happened yet. Both me and partner prone to worry about the worst and falling through with this big time gap.

Does the seller have an EA if so contact them and tell them the sale is being held up for this piece of paper and can they ask their client to sort it out. this has always worked for me.
