LHA rate is £112 I think and can't move anywhere cheaper as we have no money for a deposit/referencing/admin fees etc.
With a LHA of £485 per month, that is the figure they will use in the calculations so you automatically have £310 per month rent that you would get no help with even if you were both not working.
Would you have a deposit to come back from the place you are currently in?0 -
Yeah but it wouldn't come before we'd need it to get another place- there's nowhere we can stay temporarily, we need to go from one to the next.
Anyway, I don't feel like we need to move, we can afford to live in our house, my main problem was I can't pay back £660 in 21 days.
If, as some people seem to be suggesting, there's a repayment plan option then that's more feasible. Just means husband has to work overtime and get more sales.
Also, that £485 a month figure- is that how much they think we can get a house for round here? Because there are literally no places to rent that are that cheap.0 -
You need to check out what the LHA rate is for a one bedroom property in your area as that is the maximum that the PTB are allowed to pay you. it is supposed to cover the cost of the cheapest 30% of properties in the local authority area.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

no that is the amount the council is willing to set their standard rate TOWARDS private rented accommodation and even Council and social Housing. even some people who have no job get the set rate from their council and have to make up the short fall because their rent per week is more than the set rate set by the council.Yeah but it wouldn't come before we'd need it to get another place- there's nowhere we can stay temporarily, we need to go from one to the next.
