Outlook Express password problem

Options
Hi

I v.recently installed a program called Incredimail on my laptop, which - if you're not familiar - copies your Outlook Express account. In the transfer it asked me to copy my Outlook Express password, and I followed the instructions (Tools, Accounts, Mail, Server, Properties - and password is there though disguised). It seemed to copy over OK but the Incredimail kept telling me the password wasn't recognised. BTW I never ever actually used the password to get into my Outlook Express, but can only assume it was set up when I first set up my mail.

Anyway, I thought that I should change my password in the above field...the result is that I can get into Incredimail and Outlook Express but neither will allow me to send or receive my messages. This is because neither recognise my new password. How do I reset my password to what it was in the first place? If it's of any use, I can definitely live without Incredimail, at the moment I am only interested in getting my Outlook Express back alive.

Thanks.

Thanks Mr Skint...the most pressing problem is that I can't use my Outlook Express because I fiddled around with the password. Once that is fixed then I can move on to sort out the Incredimail problem.

Is it your OE Identity password or your ISP's mail server password?

I have logged in and out of the internet a few times and that password is working fine, so it looks like it's just my Outlook Express password.

Edit/Addition: Sorry sorry sorry! Reread your post and realise I misunderstood and so gave a dumb answer. I think it's the ISP password - I haven't gone into my identities - there is a short description in my original post of where I went to fiddle around with it...it was starts with...Tools, Accounts....

If its the password associated with the mailbox, then in the past a utility called Revelation has worked for me... Google for it. I think someone called snadboy developed it.....
