Air transit can be cheap, but read the reviews on airline quality.

http://www.canadianaffair.com can sometimes have good offers.

School holidays can be the most expensive on the most convenient flights.

AC and BA have some new aircraft from LHR which can be good.

If you live near a regional airport then it might be worth investigating flying from there via Amsterdam (Schiphol). We did that from Norwich Airport to the USA on a number of occasions and found it much better than having to get down to Heathrow or Gatwick. Apologies if it isn't relevant in your situation.

This YouTube video might be worth a look - it's by a chap who lives in Miami and visited Toronto, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec. I reckon he does a very good job with the photography, editing, captioning and narration, and he even plays the music. However, it's quite lengthy and gets a bit repetitive towards the end, so if you don't plan to go to the other cities then you might want to ignore those bits.

Here's another video of Toronto and its road system, perhaps rather less positive:

  • Sorry for hijacking this thread,
I'm going to Toronto in early July,I'm only going for 2 nights hotel booked, but I'm wondering if it was best to leave the flight to the last minute to see if price goes down.
