Managed to get hold of one of these reduced the other day, trouble is it's without the 'Digital Cord' (?) Er... is this critical ? I know nothing about these things !!

Thanks Mr Skint for your reply. However, I have the remote bit that you describe, the bit missing is a thin 'wire thingy'. I'm sorry, I'm no good with this type of technology am I ? !

The pic down the bottom illustrating all the cables etc. The one missing is the round, coiled one in the centre. Well, it looks like the one on me box anyway !

Just been googling... so it's a better quality connector than the audio cables that you would normally use to connect devices then ? *smug smile, hoping she's learnt something tonight *

Worth me keeping the MD player then despite the missing bit ? Almost took it back to Argos despite it only costing £39 !
