Massive score difference between Equifax & Experian reports

Running though my reports I have a couple of defaults with “Default Dates” and then “Account Updated to” on CreditExpert or “Date Updated” on Equifax.
Am I to take the 6 years drop off from the default date or the updated dates?

This is so helpful, thank you! So glad the banks are effectively disregarding the scores that I thought they were judging us by.
I had to correct the information Experian held on me because they had an incorrect postcode for me in one section only, that then meant they believed I was not on the electoral roll (I've been on for 11 years) -- this meant I had one negative factor, and was turned down for a CC at the building society I've used for 13 years.
My score went up then down again within a week although I now have no negative factors on my report so hopefully when I reapply I ought to be more successful. If not I'll be shaking my fist in sheer frustration!0 -
Rest assured it is from the default date. It doesn't matter that they are continually updating your current position on a regular basis. The only way that matters to you is, if you are making payments, the reducing balance outstanding will be apparent.Running though my reports I have a couple of defaults with “Default Dates” and then “Account Updated to” on CreditExpert or “Date Updated” on Equifax.

That’s good to hear!
Although it appears a default that should have expired on 22nd January is still showing……!!!!!!0 -
Does it actually say "date of default 22/01/2008"? Are there any other dates mentioned, such as "arrangement to pay"? Is this on Experian or Equifax? Certainly all mine on Experian dropped off as expected as 6 years passed. That’s good to hear!
