IKEA Metod in bedroom

Hello All,

I need some extra storage in my bedroom. There's enough hanging space so preferably a tall cupboard with deep shelves. The best thing I've been able to find that will fit in the available gap is from the IKEA Metod kitchen range

Our IKEA is a couple of hours away and with the kids and work I'm not able to get there any time soon to look at this in person so I'll order online and pay for delivery.

I just wondered if anyone has a Metod kitchen and could tell me if it would look strange having the cupboard in my bedroom? The price of the cupboard is £113 and I know I'd have to buy handles and (it seems from the instructions) some kind of rail thing to attach it to the wall. Do you think I'd need anything else? Would it look really basic just sitting there with no other cupboards beside it and no plinth (is that the bit that covers the gap at the bottom?) or other extra bits to make a nice finish?

I'm not that fussy about how it looks (clearly, since I'm considering putting kitchen unit in my bedroom!) but I don't want it to look like it's not finished, if you know what I mean?

I've put together lots of flat-pack furniture before so I'm not worried about constructing the actual cupboard but I would be a bit wary of needing to add lots of extra bits, having never built any kitchen units.

I've rambled on, sorry....

I anyone has any advice I'd be very grateful
