Ppi: Find account no. For closed account

Hi,

how do i find old account numbers for policeys i once held if i no longer have any papper work ???

Ive been in experian credit expert which shows the dates of policy but not account number which i would need to claim ppi or even call the company to request information.

Feel stumped but know im owed money

    You're not "owed" anything, I'm afraid. If you were mis-sold PPI, then you can complain (giving valid complaint reasons) and the Bank will consider your concerns. Do you even know for certain if you had any PPI?

    You don't need account numbers to contact your lenders for information. You can simply ask them based on your name, address (at the time) and date of birth. If the finance in question is showing on your Experian Report, then the Banks too should still have details.

    If you want a thorough rundown of all records still held then you'll need to send a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter to each of your lenders at a cost of £10 each. This should yield account numbers etc for all finance for at least the last six years and (sometimes) longer.
