Where can I buy textured vinyl to re-cover my perching stool?

I know this is a weird question?
I've had my perching stool for about 10 years, and the seat cover and cushion has fallen apart.
Sooooo, I went to the local market, bought new foam, and some oilcloth to re-cover it. We did that BUT the oilcloth is too slippery. The original plastic/vinyl covering had a textured surface. I don't know where to look to buy something similar (haven't seen anything similar in the market or shops I've been to), and I don't know what it's called to look for it on-line
Anyone here have any ideas ?

I agree ebay is the best place.
This is an example

Some suppliers will send you a small sample swatch if you request it.Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy - Anne Frank :A0 -
Not here they dont!
My kit was sorted by an occupational therapist when iwas post op 10 years ago.
Once my spell of physiotherapy ended after about 6 months, I've had no contact with anyone official about such matters.
Hubby replaced the handrail by our back doorstep when it gave way a while back.
Anyway I receive DLA, why is it social services job to provide these things ? I'd rather they were helping children at risk or something.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
But really, seriously ... I don't NEED social services to be involved in this.
Surely in these times of need, those of us who CAN look after ourselves should do so - without relying on the state ?I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
I don't believe that social services do have responsibility for my safety or care. I am an intelligent woman who happens to have physical disabilities. I am able to make decisions about my own life to keep myself safe. I also have a husband who is willing and able to take some responsibility for me (as I am for him - just to be clear)
Now if I was mentally incapable, with no family able to help, then it is right that there should be some authority to take on that responsibility - that is when social services should step in.
But for me to expect the public sector to come and check if a handrail at my house is loose or make sure that a piece of furniture I sit on isn't falling apart would be a misuse of taxpayers money. It's just morally wrong, no different to someone claiming benefits when they don't need them.
We do at least agree on this:
If a handrail fails and I fall down, or I slip off the stool and damage my back I only have myself to blame
These are items I use in my own home, and just like anyone WITHOUT a disability, I am responsible for making sure they are safe to use.

Blimey
All that simply because I asked if anyone knows where I can buy textured vinyl upholstery covering
Looks like I need to search eBay then ....I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0
