Stupid question probably... have done a quick search on this forum but havent found the same query.
I am planning on starting the ball rolling by writing to my bank (Natwest) and requesting my statements from the past 6 motnhs. I will be using the template letter on this site.
However.. I havent got a clue where my cheque book is!! I'd rather get the ball rolling right away instead of requesting a new cheque book and waiting for that come then writing to them blah blah blah...
So, in a nutshell... in my letter can I tell them to take the 10 quid straight from my account? Has anyone done this?
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes I do have internet banking with Natwest. I think you can only view/download up to 6 months of statements online sadly.0 -
When I sent off my request to Natwest I added a small note at the bottom saying "Please deduct from my account funds required to obtain information" Then printed and signed.
I don't think they even charged me for the statements.
That seemed sufficient enough as they sent my statements within a couple of weeks.
Natwest we're quite good with me, other than a couple of ignored letters I got my full settlement along with all the charges I had incurred since starting the claim.
They also did'nt downgrade my account and kept my overdraft facility going.
Good Luck!!!!!!NATWEST Amount Claimed £2860 Amount Received £2860
CLYDESDALE FINANCIAL SERVICES Amount Claimed £85.00 Amount Received £42.500
