Just got my business website completed using 123-reg - just need to know how long it takes to appear on the internet?

It should appear as soon as it's published.
I hope that you don't have the problems with your site builder that I had, after 4 months trying to get it set up properly and no help at all from 123, I gave up and went with do your own site - what a difference.

Any decent webhost should show your site in minutes once uploaded.

Not true, it takes 24-48 hours for the DNS (domain name servers) to be updated with your site, until then it won't be accessible to the public. However if it's still not accessible after about 48 hours then start chasing them.

Depends how often the nameservers are updated though. Better hosts update every at least every 30 minutes. I've used 123 before and I thought they updated quickly.

It's not just how quickly they update it's also how quickly it's propogated, there loads of name servers out there.

hmmm... good luck with getting any response from 123-reg. I bought a domain name and ecommerce site builder a few weeks ago and then realised that you can't actually control the quantity added to the basket which is a huge problem as I generally only have 1 or 2 of the same item. They haven't responded to any of my questions and they don't answer the telephone
